A few weeks ago I was walking through the aisles of the CVS Pharmacy when I was all of a sudden taken aback by a very familiar smell.That smell was Safeguard soap and it almost brought me to tears.
Years ago when I would visit the home of my Mother’s mother… we called her Ma Teanie, the smell of Safeguard soap was a familiar one as that is all she ever used.As a matter of fact, Ma Teanie had bars and bars of Safeguard soap on the shelves of her bathroom.It gave the whole room a very intoxicating smell.
As a child my Mother never brought Safeguard soap.Then, like now, I think she thought it was too expensive.A 3 bar pack of Safeguard will run you nearly $5.00 today and considering one can get probably 20 bars of non name brand soap from the dollar store for the same price, why would anybody bother to buy the expensive stuff?

Oh yeah… I am not all that impressed by it.Granted, I haven’t actually talked to anyone using it, but the fact that it took me almost 15 minutes to figure out how to change my display pic is not a good sign.
