It happened again yesterday. “It” being that sick feeling I get in the pit of my stomach when I see Black women doing things that embarass themselves and me in the process.
While browsing online I came across a link to Kanye West’s “Touch The Sky Video” and decided to check it out because I had heard so much about it.What I heard however did not prepare me for what I was eventually about to witness.
I won’t go into how utterly bad the video is, even though I had heard it was Fabu. What I will go into is how icky I felt when Nia Long and Tracy Ross crossed the screen to berate the “Kanye Character” about his choice in women, that being the girlfriend role that a washed-up Pamela Anderson played.
Now I don’t know if Kanye was trying to make some unknown political point or just out to make waves, what I do know is this particular skit in his video was an embarassment to Black women in general as it really had no place in the scheme of the video.
Kanye is playing a Evel Keneval type character and Pamela Anderson is his woman.Yeah she’s white and Kanye is Black, but that seems to be a non issue in the video. So my point is why bring in Tracy and Nia to embarass themselves and Black femeninity in the process?

While browsing Cocoa Lounge earlier today I came across a thread showcasing the actress Elise Neal in a sexy spread for King Spread. On the surface it was like so many threads about Sisters taking it off for men’s magazines, but then came this comment by Selena.
A few weeks ago I was watching the Oprah show and it was about lesbo women. One beautiful Black woman who was married had just taken the kids and left her husband to be with her masculine female lover. It was really a sad story.I say that because Black men are gonna start feeling the heat eventually of trying to lesbianize Black women like what is being done in these pictures.Once sisters start up and leaving these brothers for other women only then will they realize just how foolish it was to try and push lesbian behavior on Black women.
I thought Selena made a great point and I decided to expound on it a little bit over here.
First let me say that I don’t think I will ever fully understand the male brain.I do understand that they are wired to find breasts and buttocks attractive, but I will never understand why so many men seem to find 4 breasts and 2 buttocks sexually entertwined appealing.

Brrrrrrr…. it’s cold outside… lol
Here is New York City we are buried under quite a few inches of snow.Funny thing is, I had no idea there was going to be a snow storm.
Taking care of my daughter keeps me so busy that I often don’t have time to watch or read the news.It wasn’t until my Grandmother called me yesterday and mentioned it that I had any idea we were even due to get snow.
At any rate, the children are enjoying it and school for tomorrow has already be cancelled, so they are even more thrilled that they have the whole day tomorrow to make snow angels.
With Taye Diggs appearing on Will and Grace to kiss the gay character, I figure now is as good a time as any to finally pick up this wonderful book I have been meaning to read for quite some time now.

I would suggest you all pick up this book as well.It may help explain why Taye Diggs has chosen to do something I know is totally contrary to his upbringing and Culture. Homosexuality and the Effeminization of Afrikan Males

Someone e-mailed me today and asked me what my favorite posts here were and I decided to go over every article I ever posted and pick my favorites. It was actually pretty easy.I will post them later tonight and the reasons why they are my favorite.
[Edit]
This post is one of my favorite because I was ticked off when I wrote it.I also had the opportunity to talk to a Brotha just a few days ago who had the exact experience as I had with this wiki.He too owned a Black site whos links once graced this wiki before they were removed. This particular wiki seems to take great pride in seeing to it that links going to Black sites aren’t posted there. As I state in the post, this wiki is a haven for white folk to promote their sites, even those that just started, but long established Black sites get no such accomodations.
