You know I get a lot of e-mails from people who want me to stop by and take a look at their blogs.I am more than happy to do this as I enjoy reading the thoughts and ideas of others.However, what I do not enjoy is straining my eyes to read a blog that is primarily Black with either white or grey text.Trust me, if you find that people are not responding to your posts or seem to hit your front page and then leave, chances are your blog is designed in a way that turns people off and nothing will obviously turn people off more than the inability to see the words on the screen.

Like most people, braids on men never bothered me before, but the older I got the more they disturbed me as I found many traits I disliked seemed to be found in men with braids, or as I like to say, men who wear their hair like little girls.

The first thing I have noticed is that grown men with braids tend to either not have jobs, or very low paying jobs where they can basically get away with looking any old kind of way. You’ll never find a man with braids in any professional type of environment as there is most likely a dress code to adhere to and a man with braids would automatically be breaking that code. Let’s face it, nobody is gonna hire a braid wearing, beads hanging from the end Brotha to help run their company… they just aren’t.

You can no longer have it your way.Sorry guys, due to space probelms I had to enable only one theme.Hopefully in the near future I can get this all figured out and the theme switcher will be installed again.

Well, much like Burger King, I have decided to allow the guests who visit this blog to decide how they want the site to look.I have installed 2 themes so far and will probably install more within the next few weeks.The default theme is called Dapit HaponThis may change by the time you read this post. and is designed by the very talented Gail Dela Cruz.The other theme named Remember is a lush pinkish-purpley design by the one and only Becca Wei .She too is a gifted designer whose Beautiful Work can also be seen on Elegant Webscapes.To change the theme of Blackhoney just look to the sidebar on your right under “Themes” and choose whatever look suits you best.Hopefully with the Wordpress 2.0 Theme Competition all wrapped up, there will be dozens of more beautifully designed themes for me to add to the blog in the next day or two.Stay tuned, as I hope to add another theme from Gail Dela Cruz, Phu of Ifelse, and Kevin Wetzels, who is famous for the awsome Drunkey Love theme he created last year.

If they made Big Wheels for adults, I would buy one… lol.

Janet Jackson’s website has been updated and it includes a beautiful New Photo of our beloved.I am totally loving the short hair and minimalist look.I know it must have taken tons of make-up, lighting, and airbrushing to get her to look so natural.

By the way, does anyone else think Janet’s looks a lil Kelly Roland-ish in this photo ?
