Like most people, braids on men never bothered me before, but the older I got the more they disturbed me as I found many traits I disliked seemed to be found in men with braids, or as I like to say, men who wear their hair like little girls.

The first thing I have noticed is that grown men with braids tend to either not have jobs, or very low paying jobs where they can basically get away with looking any old kind of way. You’ll never find a man with braids in any professional type of environment as there is most likely a dress code to adhere to and a man with braids would automatically be breaking that code. Let’s face it, nobody is gonna hire a braid wearing, beads hanging from the end Brotha to help run their company… they just aren’t.

In the spirit of Brotherly Love I have decided to use this blog to promote various African American websites that I think we should all know about and support.As I travel the World Wide Web I am delighted at all the new sites I see popping up that for the moment are 100% owned and operated by Black people.

As always, I am constantly on a quest to become closer to the Creator.Who this Creator is however, is something I haven’t quite figured out yet.
My youth was not one filled with religion, but like most Black folk, I automatically believed in God and his supposed son Jesus Christ.Occasionally someone would take me to Church or The Kingdom Hall, but I was by no stretch of the imagination a spiritual child, and it would be many years before I would attempt to grow closer to this God person.

You know sometimes a fool just needs to be a called a fool.No beating around the bush, not being subtle… just telling it like it is.This is one of those times.While talking to my ex, the father of my children, I discovered his sister is having marital problems because an affair she was having with a much younger man, has been discovered by her husband.
