So lately a lot of people have been finding this blog and that’s cool.I recognize being a sub-domain of www.cocoalounge.org alone will bring this blog traffic.
However, with this traffic comes people asking to exchange links with me or add their link to Cocoa Lounge directly. Now let me tell you, I won’t link my blog or my site to just anybody, so here is a few basic ideas as to what type of blog/site I will and won’t link to.And please know that I am not snotty… just picky.
For my Sistahs, if your blog is all about sex and fashion, don’t bother e-mailing me and asking for a “hook up”.I have no problem with what you do or blog about, I just don’t want to be affiliated with it.
Also, if you totally blog about your “natural” hair, I will absolutely positively not link you. That crap just annoys the hell outta me.A bunch of Black women who chose to go natural then spend their time typing about what stupid friggin’ white people think about it.I swear everytime I run across one of those blogs I just want to scream.
Now for the Brothas, if your blog/site is rap related, the chance of me linking you is slim to none.Rap sites/blogs seem to be filthy by default and again, what you do is yo business, but I don’t plan on being affiliated with it.
Now, that doesn’t mean a rap blog is totally gonna get dissed (
Oh yeah, I almost forgot… If you curse a lot in your blog, you can forget it.This is especially true of the Sistahs.A woman with a filthy mouth is such a disgrace… yuck! I will absolutely turn you down flat if your blog is laced with profanity through and through.

I just wanted to stop thru and introduce myself. I responded to an ealier post about your using Movable Type, but it dawned on me after reading this post that I should have introduced myself to you first. My name is Frank, but family and friends call me Khalif. I’m a freelance Web Designer/Programmer from Cincinnati, Ohio. I have just recently started my blog, but I have been involved with development on the web for several years now. The name of my company is Viperteq Solutions (http://viperteq.com) and my blog can be reached at http://snakebytez.blogspot.com I write primarily about technology and how it affects African-American men and women. In the near future I will be writing tutorials on HTML, CSS, XML, Design Principles and PHP as well as articles that detail how new directives in technology will affect African-Americans and what we can do to get more involved. If you haven’t checked out the blog yet, when you do, you’ll see that I also write about personal things that I am going thru or feeling. Some of it is about Hip-Hop, but it is more on how I view the culture now that I am 31 (soon to be 32).
I came across your blog Saturday morning while searching for African-American blog feeds. I’ve perused the Cocoa Lounge and I like what you and your team have going. It’s great to see positive black men and women making their presence felt on the web. Anyway, I would love to link your blog on my site/blog. Come on by, check me out and if it’s cool, let me know. I’d appreciate it. Salude.

Hi Frank… welcome to my little slice of the internet.
I’ll check out your blog soon and let you know what I think
And instead of linking my Blog… linking my forum would be better( http://cocoalounge.org )
