I have seriously been contemplating changing the name of this blog as I feel that Blackhoney does not accurately reflect me or the tone of this site.
This site was kinda just thrown together so I never really thought about the name too much.Originally it was a sub-domain of the forum but after having bandwidth issues I decided to move it to another server and use one of the many domain names I owned.Just by chance I used blackhoney.us and that basically is how the blog got it’s name.
However, the time has come for me to seriously rethink that decision, especially as I decide to write about the more serious issues that run through this brain of mine.Blackhoney sounds too silly… to trivial and most of all too sexy.This blog is many things, but sexy and trivial it is not and thus a change must be made.
Herein lies the problem though…. what name do I use? What word or phrase accurately describes me and the tone of this blog? I have been racking my brain for the last few days trying to asnwer this very question, but so far I have come up empty handed.So for now Blackhoney remains, but should any of you have an epiphany about what the name of this blog should be, please share it with me.

I like the name Blackhoney.When I heard it thoughts of sex were not conjured up, but I did take it to mean you thought of yourself as a honey or dime so to speak.But if it makes you uncomfortable I say change it.

Well if you are going to do it now is the time.Change the name while the blog is rarely new.Changing it down the road will be much more difficult, especially if it becomes really popular.
Truthfullu I like the name and think you should stick with.Yeah it sounds just a tad bit horny but so what :D. FYI.Do you know the other Blackhoney’s are porn sites?

That’s a tough one. I’m probably going to change the name of my blog as soon as I can get it working right. I’m going to drop the ‘World’ and just use my first name. I have a question, which hosting service do you use to host your site? Right now I’m using dot5hosting and so far I’m having problems with loggin in, posting, features don’t work, etc. I’m fed up with them and it’s only been a week.

For my forum ( http://cocoalounge.org ) I use http://www.liquidweb.com and for this blog I use http://www.resellerzoom.com/ .I have the $4.95 reseller account with them that enables me to create and host as many sites as I like.

Shavonne are you sure your problems are host related? Not being able to log in and features not working on your blog could most likely be wordpress related? What specific problems are you having? Did you install your wordpress yourself or did you do it using Fantastico?

Shawna, did you have a nickname as a child? You could use that. I could not think of a name for my blog without my name. I like my name a lot and it’s who I am. Take it or leave it.
I’m going to have to check out some other hosts because I’ve been having issues from day one with dot5hosting. Thanks for linking me. I would do the same but I can’t get into my account. Urghhh

When I can’t log into my blog, I definitely can’t log into my web host account. I can usually log into my blog more than my web host account. Like now, I can log into my blog but not web host. They changed my login name without my consent and now I can’t get in. I installed my blog manually. I don’t even know what fantastico is. It would have been nice to get some help with installing my blog.

Shavonne, Fantastico is a autoinstaller that come with probably the majority of hosting accounts.You fill in your basic info and it will install your blog for you as well as a host of other types of software and forums.
Seeing tha you cannot log into your account your host is definitely the problem.I would get new hosting.Reseller Zoom, what I use to host this blog is great and you can host as many domains as you like.

i think u should leave the name as it is . even though it has sexual references, the content is what really matters. lets face it sex sells and it may drive a lot of unwanted traffic to your site. but your content is quality and I’m sure most people will appreciate that. there’s more to the internet than just a domain name. google and yahoo have proven that u dont need a serious name to make serious money or indeed to be taken seriously !

Keep the name. I like it because it gives off a perception of sex but then it completes the perception with your intelligent topics. That is the complete woman. On the outside she is physically attractive but the thoughts from her mind creates the her glow.
You can have both. Life is about balance.

Wow, I had no idea so many people actually equated the name Blackhoney with sex.Now I know a name change is truly in order
